About the Caye Smart X 2-Step 2 Hopper Super Automatic Espresso Machine

The Caye Smart X 2-Step (model B2CTS) is a commercial super automatic espresso machine for cafes, restaurants and offices that want precise, consistent espresso with hands-on milk steaming. It grinds, weighs, tamps and brews each shot automatically, and the barista steams milk with the CayeSteam auto steam wand, so drinks are made in two steps. A separate hot water outlet handles Americanos and tea.

AccuPowderWeigh grind by weight: a built-in scale weighs every ground dose, within plus or minus 0.2 g.

Caye names each Smart X by its features: B2 is the number of grinders and hoppers, C is coffee, M is the automatic milk system (M2 connects two milks), S is the CayeSteam wand, Y is the separate CayeFoam+ foam dispenser and T is a separate hot water outlet. 1-Step, 1.5 Step and 2-Step are the configuration names used by Caye's US distributor and describe how many steps a milk drink takes.

What do 1-Step, 1.5 Step and 2-Step mean on the Caye Smart X?

These are the configuration names used by Pro Coffee Gear, Caye's US distributor, and they describe how many steps a milk drink takes. Read against Caye's model codes: the 2-Step (B2CTS) grinds, weighs and brews the espresso, and the barista then steams milk with the CayeSteam auto steam wand. The 1-Step (B2CTM2S) adds Caye's automatic milk system (M), which makes milk drinks with one touch from up to two types of milk. The 1.5 Step models (B2CM2SY, B3CM2SY) also add CayeFoam+ (Y), a separate dispenser that pours hot or cold milk foam while the espresso extracts, for drinks the barista finishes by hand.
