The Etzinger etzMAX Filter W is a grind-by-weight filter coffee grinder for pour-over bars and filter service that need fast, exact doses. A built-in load cell under the platform weighs the dosing cup as it fills and stops at the programmed weight.

What is included with the etzMAX Filter W?

The grinder, a 1000 g bean hopper, the platform and dosing cup, a bottle brush and a cleaning brush.

What power supply does the etzMAX need?

The North American version runs on 120V AC, 50/60Hz, and draws 240W (2.4 A). Etzinger asks for a grounded outlet and advises against adapters and extension cords.

What hopper sizes are available for the etzMAX?

The grinder ships with a 1000 g (35 oz) bean hopper. A smaller 200 g (7 oz) hopper is available as an option.

How accurate is the etzMAX scale and how do I calibrate it?

The weighing system is self-regulating: accuracy improves over repeated grinds with the same roast and setting, and after a change it takes a few grinds to adjust. Calibration needs a 500 g calibration weight, which is not included, and Etzinger recommends recalibrating regularly. If the load cell fails, the grinder can switch to time-based grinding.

How do I clean the etzMAX?

Unplug the grinder, remove the bean hopper and the grind size adjustment, and clean the burrs and grinding chamber with the supplied bottle brush. Wipe the housing with a soft, slightly damp cloth. The hopper and lid can be washed with warm water. Never immerse the grinder, use a water jet or use compressed air.
