About the Sanremo X-ONE Coffee Grinder

The Sanremo X-ONE is a dual-hopper commercial grinder for specialty cafés and roasteries that grind espresso and filter on one machine. It weighs the whole beans before they reach the burrs, so every dose is ground to a set weight without a scale under the portafilter.

What burrs does the Sanremo X-ONE use?

The X-ONE uses 98 mm vertical flat burrs with a DLC coating. Burr speed is managed by an inverter motor, with three preset speeds of 1,000, 1,200 and 1,400 rpm plus one custom speed you can set between 800 and 1,400 rpm on the display.

How does the X-ONE dose coffee?

The X-ONE weighs the beans before grinding, so it grinds only the dose you ask for, from 5 to 30 g per hopper. Weight is the default mode; a time mode is available as an emergency mode if the weighing system fails. A predose function prepares the next dose automatically, and each hopper has a manual dosing button.

How many hoppers does the X-ONE have?

It has two independent bean hoppers of 1.2 kg (2.6 lb) each, so you can run two different coffees with separate recipes. A front bypass drawer takes up to 250 g (0.55 lb) for single dosing, which makes it work as three grinders in one.

How many recipes can it store, and can I transfer them?

The X-ONE stores up to 12 recipes, each saving weight, grind speed and burr distance. Recipes and settings can be saved to and uploaded from a USB device through the USB port, which is also used for firmware updates.

What power does the X-ONE need?

Sanremo lists two electrical versions: 100 to 127 V, 50/60 Hz, 1,550 W, and 200 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, 1,650 W. The version sold in North America is the 100 to 127 V model.

How big and heavy is the X-ONE?

The X-ONE measures 9 in (230 mm) wide, 23 in (580 mm) high and 20 in (510 mm) deep, and weighs 79 lb (36 kg) net. Its narrow footprint takes less counter space than three standard grinders.
