The adjustment knob traverses the full range of grinds with one full turn moving from cold brew coarse to espresso fine. Coupled with the programmable doses, the X54 allows for frequent adjustments while making it easy to return to a set point as needed. Based on your needs the front of the X54 can be fitted with an adapter for portafilter grinding or brew grinding. Simply remove and replace the current adapter to desired selection and change back as needed. Where the grinder really shines is via the Mahlkonig companion app. The app can be used to save and share grinding recipes and features a suite of maintenance tutorials to guide you through proper care of your grinder. In raw numbers the X54 has a grinding output of 1-2.8g/sec based on your grind setting and holds up to 250g of whole bean coffee.
